Rev. Regan Stoops, Pastor

Pastor Regan Stoops came to First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant in June of 2006.  This is his first pastorate but he has been working in youth ministry for the previous five years.  Regan received his B.A. in Religion from William Jewell College and his M.Div. from Northern Baptist Seminary. 

Regan is the son of an American Baptist pastor and after moving around to South Dakota and Kansas, grew up and graduated from high school in Charles City, Iowa.  Regan met his wife in college.  Katie is an elementary school teacher but is now staying home full time as a wife and new mom.  Their first child, Carson Michael, was born in 2006 and Jackson Dean was born in 2008.

Regan loves to play football or any other sport.  He and Katie are major Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks fans and love to watch games and couch-coach together.  Regan loves to play guitar and enjoys incorporating it into the worship service.

“As a young pastor I am excited to reach out to young families, youth, and college students.  Our church is a great family with a very friendly atmosphere and we are working to carry out God’s call through the Great Commandment and Great Commission.”

 

 

 

 

Tami Lyon, Administrative Assistant

Tami Lyon has been the administrative assistant since January 2003.  She keeps the office running smoothly and is always willing to help anyone who stops by.
 
Tami and her husband, Mark, have been married since 1980 and have two grown children.
